At Standing in the Gap, we are dedicated to helping boys grow into successful young men through community support. Our programs focus on providing the necessary tools, resources, and mentorship to guide them towards a brighter future.

Standing in the Gap is a nonprofit organization dedicated to investing in the youth of our community. We connect mentors who are passionate about teaching real-life skills with underprivileged kids who need guidance and support.

After working in the prison system for over a decade, we realized there had to be a better way to keep young men from ending up behind bars. Too often, the community and prison system are filled with young men who simply lacked the guidance of a caring role model to share essential life skills. Unfortunately, there were too few willing and able to "stand in the gap."

Our vision is to engage and equip these young men with direction, hope, and a clear path toward achieving their full potential. By helping them set realistic goals and providing them with a plan to succeed, we aim to transform their futures.

We are proud to have a team of dedicated volunteers, including farmers, doctors, personal trainers, dog handlers, teachers, and engineers. These mentors are paired with young men based on their interests to encourage and nurture their aspirations.

Our goal is to create a supportive community that fosters learning, goal-setting, and personal development. Through mentoring and meaningful connections, we strive to empower these young minds to grow into strong individuals and leaders capable of overcoming life's challenges.
